Creating the New Golden Age

Written by Lynne on August 4, 2011 – 5:55 pm -

This is the fifth article in our series of 12 new articles updating the Brilliance formula. We show how to break free from old thought patterns in order to create a new world.

Creating the New Golden Age

By Lynne Hoft and Vivian Hildebrandt

At this momentous crossroad on Earth, we are individually and collectively disconnecting from an old world view and creating a new and Light-filled vision, of a new Golden Age. We are releasing and clearing old patterns of thinking and opening to a new paradigm where our highest thoughts are revealing themselves out of our Brilliance.

In the past we understood thought patterns to be collections of thought that were brought together through habit and attention. When these thoughts were brought together they gathered strength and became a lens for seeing ourselves, others and the world.

Breaking free from thought patterns that limit us is important to our personal well being and the survival of the world.  Any limitation we hold expresses itself in our attitudes as well as our actions. It is imperative to assess and shift the thoughts that hold us back from love, for love is the tie that binds us in common connection.

Because Brilliance is the force behind the new world, because it is our highest thoughts from our highest state of being that are presenting themselves, we are moving into a world filled with unlimited possibilities. This new creation is no longer limited by old third-dimensional habits of thought. And, because our Brilliance is in charge, we don’t have to see the whole picture. We know that our new earth is the combination of all of our boldest, brightest, and perfect thought creations.

Today, as we navigate through these juxtaposed thought patterns, it is critical to be vigilant in recognizing the interplay of old habits of thinking and new thought opportunities. It is critical that we recognize and release the old beliefs in order to be visited by the new dream. We are literally letting go of the old to make way for the new. We must use our understanding of thought, feelings, and moods to traverse the terrain of old habits and patterns of thought in order to arrive at a fresh place, filled with the light and love of Brilliance.

In the new dimension of wholeness, of personal and collective sovereignty, new and expanded tools are ready for our physical use that match and reflect the expanded vision of our new thought awareness.  We are arriving at new ways of living and being together that honor and activate the highest strengths and skills in each of us.

We see our desire for peace, prosperity, sovereignty, and true and highest expression matched with new and enhanced governing systems, new monetary systems, better and more aligned social systems, education, service, and so on. We are presented with new tools for energy production, health care, environmental care, all evolving out of our new thought patterns. Our destiny awaits us in Joy, Love, and Unlimited Creativity.

Moods, The Missing Link to Self Awareness

Written by Lynne on July 26, 2011 – 12:10 pm -

Today we discuss the fourth element of the Brilliance Formula in the current context of rapid evolution in consciousness. This is the fourth article in our series of 12 new articles updating the Brilliance formula.

Moods, the Missing Link to Self Awareness

Lynne Hoft and Vivian Hildebrandt

An essential step to Ascension, moods are often the missing link to self awareness. They are the extension of our thoughts in action. In duality low moods indicate a drop to patterned, habited, thinking. High moods evidence a strong Brilliance connection and are the state of fifth-dimensional beingness.

Moods are accumulations of feelings that we visit, re-visit, and hold close. When these feelings are negative, the moods they create are low moods.  Remember, we choose thoughts by giving them attention and thus create feelings. We also choose the amount of attention we give these feelings. In doing this, we create moods. We can change this pattern by shifting our attention.

The importance of recognizing our moods is essential to expanding awareness for personal growth. It provides tools for weathering low moods and shifting to higher moods – raising our consciousness. This is a play of thought and feelings into our current perception – to knowing it’s just a low mood and will pass. It is not our terminal state of being. This gives us the skills to weather low moods and thereby eventually move out of low mood habits.

Moods are like storm warnings. They give us a heads-up so that we can take action and maintain our safety and wellbeing.  We can then avoid extended periods of stagnant energy which has a detrimental affect on all parts of our lives. Awareness and the power of choice can move us to higher moods and can sustain our life-giving energy so that we can achieve our goals and accomplish our individual purpose in life.

Understanding moods is an essential skill to maintaining our Brilliance connection. The journey through our moods is a microcosm of the path to Ascension. Recognizing the urgency related to low moods gives us the perspective we need to know the shift to higher moods is inevitable, for it is our Natural State of Beingness.

The biggest mediator of moods is remembering who we truly are—the powerful co-creators of our lives and the world.  Our Quantum Self has never been victimized. Our true self has been guiding and directing the play that we call life while we have been on stage, sometimes forgetting our lines, until with practice every last line and lesson has been learned and remembered. What emerges in us is strength and a trust that we are bigger than any mood or circumstance we encounter. Once we remember and take on our rightful role as director, we move forward with ease and joy and gratitude.

Duality is a temporary state that we are moving beyond. Once we are fully seated in our Brilliance the effects of duality cease to affect us and fade from our consciousness. Now we ascend from duality into the true expression of our existence – fifth dimension and beyond.

The Purpose of Feelings

Written by Lynne on July 19, 2011 – 2:16 pm -

Here is the third article in our new look at the Brilliance Formula series:

The Purpose of Feelings

By Lynne Hoft & Vivian Hildebrandt

Although we love feeling “good” and usually dislike feeling “bad”, feelings are a special part of the energy of who we are.  Feelings are a reading of our energy that tell us whether we are movin’ on up, or in a downward spin. We can use a compass to determine which direction our feelings are moving. Or we can use a GPS, a more sophisticated instrument which not only indicates direction, but also tells us if we have taken the shortest, most scenic or safest route to our destination. Either way, feelings are our directional system.

Using a directional system allows us to avoid getting lost when visiting friends, and on our life journey toward our goals and aspirations. Without a GPS in life, we have no connection to our big picture, our map, or our blueprint. Our life events become bumper cars that knock us around in any direction from one moment to the next.

Here’s how this works:

  • Feelings are the directional guide that tell us exactly where we are and remind us to check our thoughts.
  • Feelings always follow thought.
  • Checking our thoughts then gives us a choice to choose new thoughts or to continue on our present route.

This is how feelings work in our current, 3rd dimensional world. In the 3-D world we have a duality of feelings, good and bad, high and low, rational and irrational.  Everything has its opposite in a duality world.

We are now moving into a 5th dimensional world in which our awareness grows and we ascend into a consciousness of the whole.  In a 5-D, multidimensional world, we live in the perfect NOW, in wholeness, oneness and peace. This is much more of a “feeling” world. Here our feelings direct us to continuing, unlimited, expansive possibilities. Here we choose the possibilities (thoughts) that most resonate with our gifts, our expanded being.

In all dimensions our feelings and our lives have great purpose. Our life journeys are leading us to the understanding and expression of pure love.

Our feelings tell us when we are on the journey to pure love and when we have taken a side trip. Knowing when we have taken a side trip gives us the opportunity to shift our thinking back to Brilliance.

In our present world we can know that we are on the most direct path to being Brilliance by using our feelings GPS. In the 5-D world where we are whole and complete, we reside in the heart of all life and we are Love in action. We are on the journey of a lifetime: turn on your feelings motor and  experience the shift from a motor coach to a zero point energy ship to the stars.

Thought in Action

Written by Lynne on July 14, 2011 – 9:40 am -

Here is the second article in our new look at the Brilliance Formula series:

Thought in Action

By: Lynne Hoft, EdD & Vivian Hildebrandt, MA

Richard Carlson gave us a great insight when he said, “Thought is not something that happens to us, but something that we do. It comes from inside of us, not from the outside. What we ‘think’ determines what we see – even though it often seems the other way around.” Thinking is automatic; it’s going on all the time.

Where do our thoughts come from? We each have a thought bank that we carry around with us that contains all of our beliefs and thought patterns. It also contains all that we’ve learned at home, at school, and in our communities. Our thought banks contain only what we have experienced in the past.

We also have another source of thought that we call Brilliance. Brilliance is our connection to a higher dimension of thought, awareness and consciousness. It only occurs in the Now and always leads to the most expanded viewpoint.

Understanding thought is critical. Our knowledge of how thinking works determines the degree of power we have over our lives.

How can we distinguish when we are caught up in our thought bank or when we are connecting with our Brilliance? When you are worrying or feeling unsure, angry, or depressed you are caught in old habits of thinking from your thought bank. When experiencing a sense of peace, of confidence, and certainty, you have tapped your Brilliance.

Thinking about thinking is a learned habit and the biggest barrier to accessing Brilliance. We’ve been taught to “think about it”, to think about everything. All of this thinking keeps us in the past and blocks the path to Brilliance. Learning new habits will prevent this tyranny of the thought bank.

Learning to quiet the mind is very important. Taking slow deep breaths or simply listening to your breath stops the thought flow. When we are quiet we can hear our intuition, the voice of Brilliance, giving us new ideas and solutions.

Many people are unaware that it is our thoughts that create our lives. We are creating all the time. Thoughts are ‘just thoughts’ until we put our attention on them, activating them into expression. If we are on auto-pilot we have abdicated our ability to choose what we create and are at the mercy of the media, advertising, our colleagues and our families, even our two-year olds. Just look around at the world today and see what extreme unconscious thinking creates.

We can change the world by learning to connect with and maintain our Brilliance. This can be done in many ways. Centering exercises like meditation and yoga help us to relax and be present. We can stay in the flow by being in nature, walking, running, playing basketball or engaging in any activity that puts us in the now. Smiling at yourself and others, laughing often, and celebrating every step of the way move us into higher vibrations.

Brilliance is the path we must take to experience higher consciousness.

When we become conscious of our thoughts and choose to put our attention on our Brilliant thoughts we elevate our expression and move into higher states of being. We truly can bring heaven to earth.

A New Look at Brilliance

Written by Lynne on July 5, 2011 – 9:18 am -

This spring we decided to write a new series of articles focused on the “Brilliance Formula”.  We view this formula as the process through which one attains their personal Brilliance connection. This new understanding aligns with the current consciousness of Ascension. This endeavor is taking our awareness of Brilliance to a new level. We hope you will gain a new level of understanding your own Ascension Process and invite your feedback.

Here is the first in this series of our new look at the Brilliance Formula articles:

New Earth

A New Look At Brilliance

Lynne Hoft & Vivian Hildebrandt

Did you know that Brilliance is the key to understanding who we are and where we are going? We described Brilliance this way several years ago: “Throughout time, many words and phrases have been used to describe our natural state: innate wisdom, higher power, soul, source, love, common sense, and our favorite, natural Brilliance. In the classroom we refer to this Brilliance as a learning state of mind. In religion it is called Spirit or God. In society, many people experience it as intuition, creativity, or common sense.

Brilliance is a part of the human package; we are all born with it. In fact, WE ARE IT.  The latest scientific studies are showing us that we exist in the field of Quantum Energy; this is the energy that all of the universes are made of.  Our mind has been programmed to see separate, distinct beings sharing space on the planet. In fact we are a part of the whole, the ALL, the unity of all energy that is.

In our third-dimensional world, the appearance of separateness, good and bad, and everything in opposition is seen as real.  In reality we are multidimensional beings. Brilliance exists in all dimensions of the Quantum Energy Field. When we think of Brilliance, we see a blaze of light, a sparkle, perhaps like a diamond or the sun shining on a lake. We are that Light, a facet of the Life Force that is alive in every living being.

It’s easy to see Brilliance in the maneuvers of a skilled basketball player, in the musical artist who makes the cello sing, and in those whose courage inspires, like the freedom riders or others who protest for freedom around the world. Yet, we usually reject, dismiss, or overlook the Brilliance that we truly are.  Most of us haven’t been trained to seek, tap into, or use our own Brilliance.  As quantum beings Brilliance IS the energy that we all are.

How can we recognize this Brilliance within ourselves?  Being certain that Brilliance is a part of us is the first and most important step.  When we accept this reservoir of unlimited potential that is ours in Brilliance, we can choose to consciously access Brilliance at all times. Our reservoir of Brilliance holds wisdom, understanding, love, generosity, compassion, and creativity.  When we see these qualities reflected in our lives, we recognize the Brilliance we are. Making this connection and daily immersing ourselves in it will result in living from our highest aspirations and making them our reality.

Living from Brilliance expands the individual expression of ‘who we are’, bringing our highest expression into form. When we create our lives from our innate wisdom, understanding, and love, we can relax. We’re living from our center where we know all is well, even in the midst of chaos. Our awareness of how we relate to the universe also expands and creates a new way of being. This links us to the whole, the oneness of all. We begin to move into collaboration and living for the highest good. Thus we create the New Earth.

Remember, Brilliance is Quantum Energy. It is Who We Are. Knowing this means that we know that connecting with Brilliance is the only way to create the next level, our next unfoldment, our next existence in the ever-expanding journey.  As Ascension moves us into the 5th Dimension and beyond, our Brilliance Connection is the marker that pulls us into our multidimensional awareness and expression.

Share Your Gifts

Written by Lynne & Vivian on December 30, 2010 – 4:04 pm -

Note: The following paragraphs are from the final chapter of our new E-book, Stop Stress Now: The Brilliance Formula in Action.

Brilliance illuminates our true talents, strengths and abilities. As we clear the old patterns of thinking and belief systems that create our stress, we seewho we truly are. We no longer allow our life energy to be absorbed by multiple external conditions. Instead we direct our life force into all that lights us up and gives us joy. We are able to be true to ourselves, do what we love, and live truly happy lives.

Life is experienced through relationships. We live and work with others.

  • When we shift to living in our Brilliance we are able to recognize the Brilliance in others.
  • Bringing our Brilliance into our relationships elevates and expands their potential.
  • As we focus from our innate Brilliance and see the Brilliance in others we create vital connections that uplift and inspire.

This process promises brilliant relationships.

Our brilliant relationships create brilliant communities. We can change what is happening in the world today. Change begins with one good idea. A brilliant idea supported by a brilliant community will impact everyone. When collective Brilliance is applied to any situation an unstoppable power for good is released.

As we write this our world seems to be in serious trouble on all fronts. No one has a crystal ball that shows us the ideal outcome. Collectively we have the power to choose the direction we move in, within our societies, our nation, and our world. Where do we begin?

Waiting for somebody to step up and take charge for all of us won’t work. That is an outside-in approach that denies the contributions each of us is here to make.

  • Our best beginning is to connect with our Brilliance.
  • Then we can connect with the Brilliance of others.
  • Together we can pool our brilliant ideas which will always lead to expanded solutions to the situations we face.

Brilliant solutions incorporate the needs of all and serve everyone. A collective action from Brilliance holds the power to transform the world’s problems.

We heal ourselves when we live from our Brilliance. Healing our planet, our countries, and our societies, comes from our willingness to live our heart’s desire and do what we love. This is our most important gift to life.

Healing Your Mindset

Written by Lynne & Vivian on December 13, 2010 – 2:58 pm -

One of our students shared with us that she struggles with her money mindset. She is a self-employed massage therapist and yoga instructor. Sometimes she’ll schedule a class and nobody will show up. Having enough clients to meet her expenses and having surplus income is a challenge. She’d taken our Master Your Mindset program and wanted to know if we’d expanded our insights or skills related to money since we’d developed the program.

Some of the thoughts she gets caught up in are: how she’ll come up with the money she needs when her classes don’t fill, or why her classes didn’t fill, or how she can stop worrying about money.

In our mindset program we discuss how important it is to stay connected with our natural Brilliance. It is our mindset that comes from our old patterns of thinking that gets in the way of recognizing our brilliance and living from this wisdom. Steering clear of these limiting thoughts allows us to experience our Brilliance thinking. It’s like we get out from under a cloud and the sun shines.

In the last year we’ve learned an exercise that clears our negative patterns of thinking more quickly and thoroughly than anything else we’ve tried. The exercise comes from the book Zero Limits, written by Joe Vitale and Ihaleakala Hew Len, PhD. “Ho’oponopono” is an ancient Hawaiian healing process.

There are five steps:

1.    I accept responsibility for creating this experience or situation that I want to clear. This come from understanding that we are all constantly creating our reality from our thinking and that it is our thoughts that have created this problem.

2.    I am sorry for this situation.

3.    Please forgive me. Here we ask for forgiveness from all those whom we’ve harmed; we forgive all those who have harmed us; and we forgive ourselves for all harm given and received (real or imagined).

4.    I love you. We ask Universal Source to transmute all of our old beliefs, thought patterns, and habits of thinking into Universal Love unlimited. It is Love that heals us and thereby heals the world.

5.    Thank you.

When we get caught up in worrying about where our money is going to come from, how we are going to fill our classes, or what we need to do to make more money, we have succumbed to our old habits of thinking. We are worrying about not having enough and are afraid that we won’t get enough. These thoughts have created our reality. Our collective thought system perpetuates this “reality” in the world we live in. When we use the “Ho’oponopono” process our old beliefs and thought systems are cleared from ourselves and the world around us and are replaced with Universal Love. In this way we heal ourselves and our world by healing our mindset.

Letting Go of Anger in Relationships

Written by Lynne & Vivian on December 7, 2010 – 7:00 am -

Because anger is so common in relationship problems, it needs attention.  To truly master our relationships, we need to master our feelings of anger. These feelings are easily triggered because of our conditioning and anger frequently hides deeper feelings we are afraid to share. Because our anger response often is harsh, explosive, and quickly gets out of control, it is imperative that we recognize its source.

Any negative feeling is attached to a pattern of thinking and belief about ourselves or others. Anger is attached to a thought, and a thought is just a thought until we give it life. The impact on relationships from anger—explosive, seething, sulking, or hostile—is devastating. Quiet anger is no less destructive than noisy anger. Whether anger is triggered by an old belief pattern or is purposely used to control others, it is a destroyer rather than a builder of relationships.

It is possible to master our feelings of anger. Any negative feeling is telling us to check our thinking. Anger is showing us that our thought system is in control and we’re out of control. We need to know our own flash points and learn to identify our early physical symptoms if we want to stop the process and avoid angry outbursts. If you find yourself clenching your teeth, tightening your fists, or shaking, take a deep breath, relax, and check your thinking. Ask yourself: Is making this thought right worth damaging my relationship with this person? Could I share this thought or resolve this situation another way without anger?

Once you gain the ability to catch your anger before it gets away from you and to look at the thoughts that are triggering your anger response, you’ll realize that these thoughts really weren’t all that important. They didn’t reflect your values. They weren’t justified. They certainly were not worth destroying a relationship.

Anger is a kind of rejection that pushes people away and resolves nothing. When we shift from the thought patterns behind the anger to our Brilliance, we receive the gift of acceptance. We can accept that we have different viewpoints, different experiences, and different realities. We may still have problems to resolve, but through our wisdom and understanding, we can access the best solutions. We can defuse our anger and create better relationships.

Healing Relationships

Written by Lynne & Vivian on November 8, 2010 – 2:01 pm -

When relationships disintegrate, it is because we have made assumptions, made judgments, and let our hurt and anger take over our communication. We become so attached to “our side of the story” that we can’t see our way clear to even listening calmly to others. Understanding how our thinking is behind those judgments that separate us from others is the first step to healing our relationships. Then we can use our feelings, which came from our thinking, to guide us in a new direction. We can shift and connect with our brilliant thoughts to renew our listening and respond from our hearts.

Many of us have a habit of judging others in our relationships. How do we deal with this most common habit and barrier to healthy relationships? First, we need to understand and remember that judgments are just thoughts we have focused on and made real. We judge according to our expectations, losing sight of the fact that we all have separate realities and don’t see things the same. In low moods, whatever we see seems to be at its worst.

When we get caught up in judging someone else, we tend to lose sight of the whole person and see only the problem we have identified as theirs. We judge others for the “big” stuff, from not taking out the trash to misplacing the newspaper to being a loudmouth shrew. In our minds they could do better or be better.

Often we’re even harsher on ourselves with our judgments than we are on others. When we haven’t lived up to our own standards we become the object of our scorn. We think we can’t do anything right, haven’t learned yet, are stupid and shortsighted. When others are judging us, it’s fairly easy to ignore or discount those we don’t know well or care about; however, judgments from those we know and love can cut deep and be long remembered.

Have you ever had a positive result come from making a negative judgment about another or about yourself? All the judgments we’ve identified here are negatives that are classified and held for a long time. This long shelf life of judgments cheats the one making the judgment from really knowing another and prevents the one judged from being known.

Judgments drain our energy. They come from our computer patterns of thinking. When we engage in them, our negative feelings should be our first clue to pay attention and redirect our attention and our energy. Although judgments about nuclear warfare might seem worthy of the negative energy spent, judgments about hairstyles and lifestyles contribute little or nothing. Underneath these judgments we find a lack of respect for ourselves and everyone else.

When we have agreements or shared expectations with others and they aren’t working, we can always renegotiate without judgment in a respectful way. Any time spent in making judgments or being concerned about the judgments others have made is wasted. Imagine what we could be doing from our natural Brilliance instead. Judgments are always negative; instead, we can admire, compliment, and acknowledge the positive traits of others seen from our Brilliance through the eyes of respect. Yes! we can see the best and forget the rest.
